El Mago Cigars brings craftsmanship and storytelling together in a truly unforgettable way. Each cigar is meticulously handmade with premium aged tobacco, delivering rich flavor, smooth draws, and a smoking experience worthy of life’s finest moments. Rooted in Cuban tradition and elevated by passion, El Mago’s blends are all about savoring the magic in the everyday.
A Legacy Born from Love and Loss
“El Mago,” meaning The Wizard, was inspired by founder Nicolas Fusco’s grandparents, Maria and Gonzalo Torre. After their tragic passing during the Surfside condo collapse in 2021, Fusco launched the brand to honor their legacy. The name “Mago” comes from the first two letters of Maria and Gonzalo. Every cigar is a tribute to family, resilience, and the kind of love that lives forever.
Craftsmanship You Can Taste
From seed to smoke, El Mago cigars are produced with an obsessive attention to quality and consistency. With 11 blends in rotation, each cigar offers its own story—balanced, flavorful, and deeply personal.

Weekly Interesting Cigar Facts
The Birth of the “Torcedor” Tradition
Ever wonder what you call a professional cigar roller? The official term is “torcedor”, and it’s a title that carries serious respect in the cigar world.
Becoming a master torcedor isn’t easy. In countries like Cuba and the Dominican Republic, it takes years of apprenticeship and training, often starting at a young age. These artisans are so skilled that they can roll hundreds of cigars a day by hand, with consistent precision and craftsmanship.
What’s more fascinating? Many cigar factories in Cuba still follow the tradition of having a “lector”—a reader who sits at the front of the room and reads news, novels, or politics aloud while the torcedores work. This tradition dates back to the 1800s and is said to have inspired the names of some cigar brands, like “Montecristo”, which was named after The Count of Monte Cristo, a favorite among rollers.
So next time you smoke a hand-rolled cigar, you’re holding the result of generations of dedication, skill, and a little bit of storytelling.
