Brand Of The Week

El Mago Cigars is carefully crafted by hand, in the Cuban Spirit. Our cigars are filled with the finest-aged tobacco that has been hand selected to bring you unmatched quality and an unforgettable smoking experience. From our hands to yours, hand-made to hand-held, our goal is to deliver another reason to enjoy life's beautiful moments and create lifelong memories.

El Magowhich translates to ‘The Wizard’, was inspired by a couple who created magic from the little opportunity that life first offered them - my grandparents, Maria and Gonzalo Torre. The first two letters from each of their names is what brought the name Mago to life. My grandparents, whom I called Babi and Pepe, died together on June 24, 2021, in Miami, FL, when their building, The Champlain Towers, suddenly collapsed in the middle of the night. It is my honor to keep their legacy alive and share their story through a tradition that was passed down from one generation to the next.

The Billionaire Cigar That Never Got Smoked

Did you know that the most expensive cigar ever made was never actually smoked?

Meet the Gurkha Royal Courtesan, a cigar so luxurious it carried a $1.36 million price tag—per cigar! What made it so special? For starters, each one was infused with Remy Martin’s Black Pearl Louis XIII, one of the world’s most exclusive cognacs. The wrapper? A rare, Himalayan tobacco leaf that had been watered with Fiji’s pure spring water. And to top it all off—literally—the cigar was wrapped in gold leaf and adorned with a diamond-encrusted band.

Now, here’s the kicker: These cigars were only rolled by the most elite Gurkha rollers, who worked completely blindfolded to keep their touch at peak sensitivity. Talk about taking craftsmanship to the next level!

Despite the jaw-dropping price, there’s no record of anyone actually lighting one up. Maybe the ultra-wealthy buyers who got their hands on them couldn’t bring themselves to turn that much money into ashes!

It’s a reminder that while cigars are a luxury, the real joy comes from the experience—not just the price tag. So next time you light up, know that even a well-crafted, affordable cigar can offer a million-dollar moment.
